Virginie Garandeau is a professor of dance history and an independent researcher. She holds the dance teacher Diplôme D’Etat in jazz and contemporary dance, as well as a long practice of ballet and la Belle Danse (baroque). In addition to her work as an author  (research in dance and fiction) and as a writing workshop facilitator, she has participated in the drafting of the dance dictionary published by Larousse-Bordas.
