Recognized by the Minister of Culture by order of July 20, 1991.
With our twenty-seven years of experience, the Institut de Formation Professionnelle de Rick Odums (IFPRO) proposes eight different training programs.
All of our programs are completed over the course of two or three years. Their contents are fully aligned with the current requirements of the national and international dance world, including teaching.
By providing complete high-level artistic training, we aim to form multidisciplinary artists, capable of meeting the requirements of the profession, developing their technical knowledge in different domains: dance; and specific training in vocal and dramatic interpretation, while affirming their artistic personality.
The proposed courses are deliberately eclectic, open to influence from global currents. The Institute is supported by a team of great professionals of the art world, active in their profession and rigorous in their teaching, all united in the same passion, working in unity to achieve the same goal: to bring young artists to professional maturity by giving them the necessary tools to face this difficult profession.
Partnered with prestigious international schools, such as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center (New York), Tu Dance Center (Minnesota), University of the Arts and Culture of Moscow, the Tanztheaterschoole (Amsterdam), and the Norske Ballett Høyskole Oslo, IFPRO offers an open training worldwide.
Since its creation, IFPRO has trained more than 5000 students who continued their career in teaching, in renowned companies such as the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, Ballet du Nord or the Ballet de Biarritz (Classical Ballet), The company’s of Preljocaj, Duroure, Découflé, Chopinot (Contemporary), Jazz Art, the Ballet Jazz Rick Odums, Armstrong Jazz Ballet, the company Choreonix, the company Synopsie (Jazz), and in many musicals and music performances in France and worldwide.
