Jorge Luis Santos Nogueira was born in Salvador de Bahia. He began Capoeira, original sport of the city in the 1980, at the age of 14. He began with the teacher Vasco de Azvedo, student of the master Calazas, who taught physical education. Immediately, he found himself activity in which he could invest his life. He began teaching rapidly, under the supervision of his professor.
In 1989, his teacher moved to France. Jorge Luis, now Orehla, began training in (forro and other traditional dances) with a distinguished institution in Brazil.
In 1992, he did a one year European tour with the circus Archao from Sweden to Germany, passing through France, England, Portugal, Italy, etc. This is when he decided to move to Paris and continue his training with the group Naçao Capoeira until 2000 when he returned to teaching. In 2005, he left Naçao and founded his own group : Lé Bahia
